![]() ![]() All in all just OK, will not be returning to this hotel, although the area is very nice. The entertainment was poor, tended to be very similar each night so boring after 2 weeks. Snacks round the pool from the bar during the day were very limted a better choice from the bar near the sea where the service was much better and the first week was open in the evenings but closed in the evenings from the beginning of September. They seem to have no customer awareness and you are not allowed to go to the bar yourself as the waiters are the only ones who can handle money not the bar staff, who only prepare the drinks. The bar staff were very poor, not interested in serving you, we waited 30 mins for our first drink some nights. Wine, beer and soft drinks are free with evening meals but the stations where these were available would run out of glasses or drinks and staff would just shrug and point to other station, where sometimes you would have to go to get a glass and then go to another station because the one where the glasses were had run out of drink. The food was always very similar and a bit boring after two weeks, breakfast was better than dinner, except that coffee machines would run out, causing queues at other machines. No one to make sure tables were made up as soon as guests vacated them, difficult at times to find somewhere to sit. The restaurant was chaotic most of the time and lacked senior leadership. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful but the restaurant and bar staff were not very helpful. The hotel is very nice and exceptionally clean, the beds are extremely comfortable. The town is a good 10 minute walk along a coastal path, there is also a tourist road train from the hotel into the town and back (look out for changes of timetable). The hotel is in a great location with extensive grounds. My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Hotel Maestral at Novigrad in Croatia. The bar staff were very poor, not interested in serving you, we waited 30 mins for our first. ![]() ![]() ![]()
